The 72nd anniversary of Shan State Day was celebrated at the city hall in Lashio, Northern Shan State this morning.
At the ceremony, Acting Deputy Commissioner U Chan Myae Tun read out the message marking the 72nd anniversary of Shan State Day sent by the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Win Myint. The commander of the district police force Police Lt-Col Win Shwe also read out the message sent by the Chief Minister of Shan State Dr. Lin Htut.
The ceremony was also attended by the local cabinet members, regional lawmakers, departmental staff, representatives from political parties, members of district/township maternal and child welfare associations, delegates from ethnic cultural troupes, and guests totaling more than 500 people.—Han Htay Aung
