Action will be taken against those who are catching winter birds in Yemyatgyi-Inn in Sagaing Township.

Most of winter birds in the lake died of chemical spray done by hunters. So action will be taken against the hunters should they commit such an act.

“The hunter uses fish treated chemicals to catch winter birds. Therefore, effective action will be taken against those who fail to follow the prescribed Wildlife Protection Law” said MP U Khin Maung Thein of Pyithu Hluttaw.

The General Administration Department announced to prohibit on catching winter birds nearby the Yemyatgyi-Inn on 20 January.
