Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw Mahn Win Khaing Than received Chair Mrs Renate Kunast of the German-ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Hluttaw Guest Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed strengthening bilateral friendship between Myanmar and Germany, ongoing assistances, legislation and election matters including participation of more women in the coming election.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aye Tha Aung, Chairman Dr Than Win and members Dr U Kywal Kywal of Amyotha Hluttaw Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Cooperation, and officials from the Amyotha Hluttaw Office. —MNA
