THE Ayeyawady Foundation is donating donation boxes to people affected by the powerful earthquake in Mandalay.

The foundation has been distributing these donation boxes directly to local communities in earthquake-affected areas. Foundation volunteers are personally delivering the boxes to neighbourhoods and villages that suffered extensive damage and loss across Mandalay, Sagaing, Nay Pyi Taw, Tatkon, Pyinmana, Yamethin, Kyaukse, Pyawbwe, Paleik, Singaing, and TadaU.

Each donation box includes rice, cooking oil, Alpine bottled water, canned fish, chickpeas, eggs, dried fish, instant noodles, coffee mix, mosquito nets, cups, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, stainless steel bowls and spoons, embrocation, rehydration salts, and other essential medicines.

To date, the Ayeyawady Foundation has donated more than 11,000 donation boxes, with a total estimated value of over K1.1 billion, to support those impacted by the earthquake. — ASH/MKKS
