Basic sewing course 1/2019, jointly organized by the Township General Administration Department and Social Welfare Department, was opened at the office of Loilem District Information and Public Relations Department in the town of Loinlem in southern Shan state this morning with an opening speech by U Mya Win, head of the township Immigration and Population Department.
The aim of the course is to help women generate incomes, to help women stand on their own feet, to help develop the social life of women and to maintain traditional domestic businesses, said Assistant Director Daw Tin Tin Htwe of the State Social Welfare Department.
The one-month training course will be attended by 45 trainees.—Loinlem Moe (IPRD)
