THE Republic of the Union of Myanmar, formed with 14 regions and states in addition to Nay Pyi Taw Territory, is home to 135 ethnic nationals.
Most of the ethnic nationals possess their own literature and culture, including languages showed as their high living standards. These kinds of literature and culture are based on geographical conditions of respective regions and states where the ethnic nationals reside.
Those ethnic nationals need to adore their own literature and culture with utmost efforts to flourish them for long term existence. Senior citizens of ethnic nationals have to hand down the fine legacy of literature and culture to new generations.
Currently, the government is giving encouragement to the efforts of preserving the literature and culture of respective ethnic nationals. However, all the citizens of the Union must use the Myanmar language and Myanmar language as the literature of the Union in line with the Constitution.
In this regard, global countries mostly use single office literature and office language for their respective countries. If so, such literature and language are set as the standard of these countries in order to avoid the diverse measures in usages.
The government has raised the salaries of the teachers for the improvement of learning opportunities for the students in respective ethnic literature. Only when the ethnic national students learn the respective language and literature, will they have the capacity to boom their culture and traditions.
All the citizens of the nation themselves must preserve the national characteristics for ensuring long term existence. Likewise, ethnic nationals should preserve their respective languages and literature for further improvement to be handed to the new generations with the support of the local authorities and the Union government.
They also need to flourish their own literature and languages through the best ways and means for enabling the new generations to have easy learning opportunities to receive local and global recognition. It is because the own language and literature contribute much to uplifting the prestige and integrity of respective ethnic nationals.
As kinds of literature and culture are of great importance for respective ethnic nationals, the government needs to provide necessary assistance for their preservation and flourishing works. If so, all the ethnic nationals will have the chance to take pride in flourishing their own literature and culture.
