Myinmu, 16 February

Households affected by fire were provided with cash and relief aids by Sagaing Region Disaster Management Department in Kandaw village, Myinmu Township, Sagaing District yesterday afternoon.

At the event, Chairman U Tin Aung Lwin of the Township Management Committee and Director Sa Wily Frank of Sagaing Region DMD clarified the purpose of the provision.

Then, officials handed over K 54, 600 for rice, K 800, 000 for building materials and relief items including clothing, blankets, mosquito nets, school uniforms and kitchen tools to six affected households. 

In addition, All Myintmu Township Philanthropic Network gave away K 100,000 each to six households. 

A total of six houses in the village were destroyed in the fire that broke out on 15 February, affecting 21 people.—Aung Soe Pe ( Myintmu)
