YESTERDAY, Secretary-Gen­eral Mr Xu Zhanwei from the Chinese Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (CEC­CM) and Economic and Com­mercial Counsellor Mr Ouyang Daobing from the Chinese Em­bassy donated a total of five kinds of relief supplies to Office 1 of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations to support earthquake-affected staff.

 

Union Minister for Invest­ment and Foreign Economic Re­lations Dr Kan Zaw expressed his gratitude for the donation of essential items such as blankets, mosquito nets, generators, in­stant noodles, and drinking water for the earthquake-stricken staff. He also mentioned that since the rainy season is approach­ing, there is a need to ensure shelter for the staff, therefore, requested the donation of prefab­ricated houses. Furthermore, he welcomed any kind of assistance that could be provided.

 

Following this, the Union minister, the director-general, and senior officials received the relief supplies donated by the Chinese Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (CEC­CM) and the Union minister pre­sented a certificate of apprecia­tion in return. — MIFER
