“The festival is being held with the aim of helping children develop the reading habit and find happiness in literature. Games are included at each children’s literature festival so that children also learn the spirit of cooperation,” said Union Minister Dr. Pe Myint. “Encouraging children to develop the habit of reading helps turn them into lifelong learners. Children who love reading and have the spirit of cooperation will go on to make up the intelligentsia that can ensure a bright future for the country,” said the Union Minister.
The Union Minister expressed thanks to the ministries concerned, and the region and state governments for their cooperation in holding the Children’s Literature Festival, which has been organized since 2016 in various cities and towns across the country. Afterwards, Union Minister Nai Thet Lwin, Kachin State Chief Minister Dr. Khet Aung, and Deputy Minister U Win Maw Tun also delivered opening remarks.
