Chindwin bridge to be commissioned into service on 14 January

Chindwin Bridge in Homalin township, Sagaing region will be put into service on 14 January, said Assistant Director (Civil) of Special Bridge Construction-2 U Zeya Soe.

 

The 1762 feet long and 28 feet wide bridge is of reinforced concrete type, flanked by two 3 feet pedestrian lanes on either side. The construction of the bridge started on 21-8-2016 and was completed 31-12-2018. Just as the bridge is on the Tamu-ungzeya-Kettha-Homalin road, it links Homalin and Kettha.

 

The emergence of the facility will contribute to swift and smooth flow of commodities in such regions as Homalin, Tamu bordering Indian.—Win Oo (Zeyataing)
