IN response to the recent Mandalay Earthquake in My­anmar, a 50-member medical team from China has arrived in Yangon to support health­care efforts in the affected regions.

 

The team landed in Yan­gon at around 5:30 pm yes­terday via China Eastern Air­lines, bringing with them over five tonnes of medical supplies and related equipment.

 

Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettle­ment, along with Mr Ouyang Daobing, Counsellor from the Chinese Embassy to Myan­mar and other responsible personnel welcomed the Chi­nese doctors at Yangon Inter­national Airport. — MNA/KZL
