A group of around 200 people carried out a collective garbage clearance campaign in Magway, yesterday morning with the aim of beautifying the whole city, keeping it clean and reducing the crime.

A total of about 200 local people consisting of policemen, departmental officials and resident led by Township Administrator U Myint Lwin, the commander of the township police force Police Major Ngwe Tin and the executive officer from the township municipality U Myint Myat were actively involved in the campaign.

 

“Our intention is to keep the city clean and reduce the crime. We cleared off the bushes along the Ayeyawady River bank” said Police Major Ngwe Tin.—Kyaw Zeya
