Officials from the Aunglan Township Department of Rural Development conducted a field inspection this morning to assess the upgrade of the Aunglan-Kyaukpadaung-Thambjuv road in Aunglan Township, Magway Region.

During the inspection, officials, led by Win Htaik, Director of the Magway Region Department of Rural Development met with representatives from the construction company and provided necessary instructions.

The concrete paving of road, which spans 2,640 feet in length, 18 feet in width, and 7 inches in thickness, has been carried out by the tender-winning construction company since the third week of August 2024, with K. 260.00 million allocated by the regional government. Currently, approximately 60 percent of the work has been completed.

Upon completion, the road will benefit 29,619 local residents from 7,569 households across 18 villages in the township, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.— Than Lwin (Magway)
