WITH the supervision of the Ministry of Health, the 53rd Myanmar Health Research Congress continued its fourth day at the Department of Medical Research head office in Yangon yesterday.
In the morning session, the seminar themed “Virological and Immunological Highlights of Dengue, Chikungunya and Zika Virus Infections in Myanmar” was conducted.
During the session, the experts from Myanmar and Japanese Naga Saki University discussed their findings regarding these diseases under eight different topics.
In the afternoon, the deputy director and researchers of the department, physicians and post-graduate students of DSMA, microbiologists consultant doctor of National Health Laboratory and Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000-bed) read out their relevant research papers, and the participants raised questions and suggestions. — MNA/KTZH
