24 March
I AM attending English class at BC Teaching Center at every weekend. I usually take public transport and sometimes my father gives me a drive to get there. But I don’t know how to describe this past Saturday whether it was a lucky day or unlucky day for our family especially for my mother. I have never experienced that kind of shocked situation in my life.
Last Saturday my parents were ready to drop me off to my class as they had something to do in downtown. Before we set off, my mother asked me to take her handbag and other yellow bag. So I took and put them with me on the back seat. Because of traffic jam, I felt nervous and worried about that I didn’t get to my class on time and I was moaning on the way. As soon as I got there I rushed into the classroom as I knew that I was late for about ten minutes. During lecture, I got message from my father and he asked me “where is your mother’s bag”. I replied “it is on the back seat” and he texted me again and again like “we didn’t find any bags” and “call me right now”. The worst thing was that my mother put her valuable jewelry which were tend to be sold on that day and some cash that is about 10 lakhs in the bag. I couldn’t concentrate on my lecture anymore and felt frightened. During the break time, I called my father if they found the bag and he said “when your class is over, bring the big cane”.
I am going to tell the whole story how it happened. In fact, it was all of my carelessness and clumsiness. When I dashed into the building, I accidently swept the bag to the ground and none didn’t notice it. My parents also drove off after they drop me off. An old lady who looks like a bagger picked up the bag and tried to take it away. Fortunately, there was also a taxi driver who had seen the whole situation. When the bagger picked the bag he called out her and said “it is the bag which is belonged to a student from the BC”. Then he took the bag and went to the BC office to inform the case. The staffs opened the bags in case they find something like name cards or phone number. Luckily they found one invoice with my mother’s name which is included her number. At the same time, my parents were also finding the lost bag desperately and tried to go back home to check in case I left it at home. Then she got a call from the staff and was asked “Did you lose the bag?” and “what things inside the bag?”. With the help of the taxi driver, Ko Nay Lin and the staffs we finally got back all.
My mother is the luckiest person because she got all her belongings back within a few hours. She said it was a day that she won the lottery. We are really grateful to Ko Nay Lin for his moral behavior and help. He is one of my admirable persons and today’s generation should copy his character.
