Officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement donated humanitarian assistance to storm victims in Nattalin Township on 8 May.
The contributions were made during a ceremony held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Nattalin Township, Bago Region yesterday afternoon. At the ceremony, the DDM officials presented relief supplies such as cash and construction materials worth more than Ks. 11.55 million through Township Administrator U Zay Wunna Hlaing.
The recent gusty winds collapsed 15 houses, flipped over 251 houses and 6 monasteries and affected 66 people.—Tin Myint (Nattalin)
