DEPUTY Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe met the staff of the ministry together with Deputy Ministers U Lwin Oo and U Ko Ko Kyaw, ambassadors, directors-general, and deputy directors-general in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Speaking at the event, the Union minister encouraged the staff to learn from the difficulties encountered while unexpectedly faced with natural disasters, to make efforts to overcome them and to make preparations. He continued that all should lose resilience despite the losses of parents, relatives and friends during the natural disasters. Most of the world also faces natural disasters, and most of the regions, including the administrative cities, face earthquakes, and the ministry also provided the needed assistance for the staff while serving in rescue work. He added that it has now been about a month since the earthquake occurred, and employees must strive to resume their regular office duties and services for the public. He then explained the intention of the meeting with the staff.

Afterwards, the staff of affiliated departments reported their difficulties, and the Union minister provided proper instructions. — MNA/KTZH
