DEPUTY Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo inspected the Nay Pyi Taw-Ela railway section, quake-hit Pyinmana railway station and temporary camps for the staff yesterday.

 

The Deputy Prime Minis­ter first arrived at the opera­tion site where the rail track strength was being examined using Automatic Lining, Lev­elling and Tamping Machine (ALLTM) machinery at the down train rail and Pyiwin rail­way station yard, and made proper instructions.

 

On arrival at Pyinmana railway station, General Mya Tun Oo reviewed quake-strick­en buildings and inspected the repair work.

 

The General proceeded to temporary camps for the staff and families and inspected the accommodation and health­care services.

 

Moreover, he also proceed­ed to the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications owned land area in Dekkhinathiri and inspected temporary shelters, healthcare services and other matters for the staff. — MNA/ KTZH
