A stake-driving ceremony for construction of a housing project for governmental employees was held at the construction site in Kangyidaunt Township, Ayeyawady Region this morning.

At the ceremony, regional lawmakers U Soe Moe Tun and Daw Khin Saw Mu, Director of the Department of Urban and Housing Development (DUHD) U Nay Min Htet, Deputy Director U Sithu San, and Township Administrator U Win Myint drove the stakes at designated places in the construction site and sprinkled scented water.

The Department of Urban and Housing Development under the Ministry of Construction has awarded a tender to the Summer Shade Company to build a four-storey facility at a cost of Ks. 267.866 million.—Nan Htike (KGD)
