Kunlon, 8 January
About 250 ethnic people from three villages in Kunlon Township in Northern Shan State have fled to a safer place on 6 January as they were forcibly recruited by Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA).

Temporary relief camps were opened at the village administrator’s office, a library and churches in Holi Village, Kunlon Township. The displaced people are being provided with food, stationery and healthcare services by the departmental officials, local authorities, and members of social organizations led by the township administrator.

According to the evacuees, some villagers were taken by the MNDAA and they left their homes for being afraid of forcibly recruited by the armed group.—Mai Khaing Zaw (IPRD)
