Kyangin, 21 January

A fire drill was held in front of the Myoma market in Kyangin Township, Ayeyawady Region this morning.

The fire drill was jointly organized by the Electricity Supply Enterprise (ESE) under the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and the Fire Services Department (FSD) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. First, officials from the ESE and FSD explained measures to be followed. Firefighters demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers and conducted a fire drill with the use of fire engines, water tankers and fire extinguishers.

Township Administrator U Kyaw Kyaw Lwin from the General Administration Department, Executive Officer U Htay Myint Aung from the township development affairs committee, and local people were also involved in the simulation.—Poet Poet (IPRD)
