THE earthquake that struck on 28 March 2025, with its epicentre in Mandalay, caused fatalities and extensive damage across six regions and states: Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Shan State, and Bago Region. From 21 April to 27 April, more humanitarian aid arrived, including tarpaulins, hygiene kits, personal healthcare items, kitchen utensils, food supplies, clothing, medicines, and medical equipment. These supplies were donated by India, Vietnam, China (Kunming and Nanning), Brunei, and the AHA Centre. Medical supplies were handed over to the Healthcare Work Committee.

The relief supplies were distributed proportionally based on the population affected in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, and Shan State.
