Illegal migrant workers handed over

Altogether 88 illegal migrant workers—71 men and 17 women, who were without proper documents were handed over by Thai authorities to their Myanmar counterparts.

 


The hand-over took place at the border town of Kawthoung, Taninthayi Region yesterday.

 


Also present on the occasion were personnel from Kawthoung District General Administration Department, the Labour Department, the Anti-human Trafficking Police Force and the Disaster Management Department and others.

 


The returnee workers are sent to their places of origin after being provided with health care.— Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
