Informative talk about crime reduction held in Mahlaing

Public talks titled “Fight against drugs and improving women’s lives” was held at the hall of Kyansittha in B.E.H.S in the town of Mahlaing, Mandalay Region on 24 August.

First of all, chairperson of the Township anti-drug team Dr Daw Pyone clarified the purpose of the talk. Afterwards, officials from the township Police Station, the township anti-drug team, the Township Women Affairs Association shared knowledge on prevention measures against drugs, under-age rape crimes and reduction of other crimes.

The talk was jointly organized by the Township Information and Public Relations Department and the Township anti-drug team. Altogether 350 students attended the talks, it is learnt.—Aung Htay (Mahlaing)
