Human nature tends to hope for all good things and wishes. However, when what is longed for does not materialize, people face frustration and hardship. The reality of human society is intertwined with both good and bad, meaning not every hope will result in only good outcomes. According to the natural order, undesirable things may also arise alongside the bad.

Those who aspire to genuine goodness should reflect on how well they have lived and practised virtuous behaviour within their society. They should carefully consider how much positive impact they have brought to their families, communities, and nations. At the same time, they should also assess how their actions and words may have caused harm to their family, surroundings, or country. Only by doing so can they truly determine whether they deserve or are entitled to the goodness they seek.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. For someone who harbours negative thoughts, beliefs, or actions while desiring only good outcomes, can the world truly provide them with what they seek? And if it does, would it be fair when compared to others? If the world were to reward every good deed with unwavering precision, would it result in a just decision for all of humanity?

There is a saying in this world: “Give and take.” One must be able to provide others with what they need. Only then will others provide one with fulfilment for needs. This is a profoundly true principle of mutual reciprocity in the world. Therefore, as the New Year approaches, those who wish for blessings must live and act in ways that make them deserving of those blessings.

Everyone desires a peaceful and prosperous life. Therefore, as the New Year begins, everybody wishes for peace and prosperity. With peace and prosperity, all endeavours will proceed smoothly and successfully, free from harm and danger. Worries and anxieties will be alleviated. Only then can people work with peace of mind for their livelihood. As a result, a harmonious society can be built, bringing comfort and happiness to the hearts of the people.

The benefits brought about by national peace are numerous. A peaceful future awaits the people of Myanmar. However, peace cannot be achieved through prayers alone. It requires the collective effort of all walks of life, working together towards peace. Praying will not bring peace to the nation. Only through genuine efforts by all competing groups to build peace sincerely can the country achieve lasting tranquillity.
