Jengkol beans sell well in Ngapudaw Township

Jengkol beans, also known as Danyinthee in Myanmar language are selling well in Ngapudaw Township, Ayeyawady Region.
    

Jengkol beans produced in Ngapudaw Area are sold for Ks. 40 to Ks. 50 per fruit in the market depending on their size and freshness and the growers reaped a handsome profit due to higher demand of the consumers, said a retailer from Ngapudaw Market.


Jengkol beans are locally-produced seasonal food that is very popular among the Myanmar people.The baked or boiled or raw Jengkol beans are served with salty fish sause and boiled rice.—Hla Min Htut
