Kachin State Chief Minister assists IDPs

The Kachin State government officials met the household mem­bers from 20 temporary camps in Myitkyina and Waingmaw town­ships sheltering in Ngwepyaw model village that was estab­lished by the state government budget on 8 May.

 

During the meeting, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan encouraged the in­ternally displaced persons and called for cooperation in provid­ing assistance.

 

Then, the chief minister and officials provided a total of K30,025,472, including cooking oil, foodstuffs and cash assis­tance for 476 internally displaced persons.

 

The chief minister and party also inspected the low-cost hous­ings and J2A garment factory in Naungnan villages-tract.

 

The chief minister attended the 7/2024 coordination meeting of the state-level village supervi­sory committee for agriculture using the State Economic Pro­motion Fund at Malikha Hall on 9 May.

 

At the meeting, he said the first revolving period was suc­cessfully implemented using K8 billion from the State Economic Promotion Fund. According to land areas, systematic measures will be taken to allow projects for farmers and entrepreneurs submitted by the district and township committees in line with the rules and regulations.
