The Myanmar Federation of Persons with Disabilities and iSchool-Myanmar, a local non-governmental organization, conducted a training course for the disabled people titled, “Building a compatible society by accepting divergences” in Mandalay.
The opening of the training course took place at the community center of the Information and Public Relations Department under the Ministry of Information in Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay this morning. At the opening ceremony, an official from the IPRD made a speech and U Ye Win, the project manager from iSchool-Myanmae explained the purpose of the course. The four-day course is being attended by 30 trainees from Mandalay and Singaing Township.
The course will focus on the subjects ranging from divergent cultural characteristics such as rights of the disabled people, gender equality and other cultures, engaged Buddhism, Myanmar’s history and principle of the union, and building a flexible society, said U Ye Win.—Than Zaw Min (IPRD)
