Local residents took to streets in the town of Tamu, Sagaing region in favour of Joint Committee for amending 2008 constitution law yesterday.
A total of about 1500 people gathered at Bogyoke Aung San park in Zedan-4 ward, Tamu town at 8:20 am and walked along Bogyoke road, Mahuya road, Kyetmauk road, Alaungphaya road, holding signboards in favour of amending the 2008 constitution.
They arrived back in Bogyoke Aung San park at 9:15 am where U Win Myint, chairman of the organizing committee for the rally made a speech. Then, writers Man (Taunglonebyan) and Htin Lin Oo talked about matters in relation to amending 2008 constitutional law.
