MANDALAY Region YMBA donated 1,000 meal boxes and 1,000 bottles of purified drinking water to Tatmadaw and civilian volunteers who made rescue efforts in earthquake-stricken areas of Mandalay Region. The donation was made on the morning of 10 April at designated locations across Mandalay.
They delivered 250 sets of meals and drinking water to Ward 4 in Myothit, 90 meals to the senior monks of the historically significant Dhekkhinayama Pagoda and U Pwar Phayagyi Monastery, and 200 meals to Tatmadaw members and 460 to the public at Mahamuni Buddha Image. Altogether, 1,000 meal boxes and 1,000 water bottles were donated.
In recognition of the support, the Mahamuni Buddha Image Trustee Board presented a certificate of honour to the YMBA. — Arkar Linn/KZL
