Medical equipment donated to rural healthcare facilities

An event to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) suits and items for containing coronavirus was held at the Department of Health in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State yesterday afternoon.

An abbot from Myoma Monastery and well-wishers donated 270 suits of PPE, 300 masks, hand gel, thermometer machines, blankets and bed worth more than Ks. 8.4 million to the rural healthcare centers from four villages.

The intention of donation is to ensure rapid and effective measures to curb the prevention and control of COVID-19, fulfill much-needed medical equipment and share knowledge with local people about the risks of coronavirus.—Khin San Myint (IPRD)
