IN dedication to 51 monks and a layperson who died in the Mandalay earthquake while the monks were sitting an examination at U Hla Thein Thathana Beikman building, a one-month memorial ceremony was held on 28 April.
The ceremony was held at the U Hla Thein Thathana Beikman location on 85th street (between 34th street and 35th street)
During the ceremony, food and donated items were offered to 20 monks headed by Sayadaw Bhaddanta Ardissawuntha, Patron of Helping Hand Social Assistance Association, and attendees shared merits to the deceased. — Htun Htun/ZS
