UNION Minister for Home Af­fairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung re­ceived the Chinese delegation led by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

During the meeting, the Union minister expressed gratitude to China for send­ing rescue teams to Mandalay earthquake-stricken areas and also the medical teams and for providing humanitarian aid, including medicines for quake victims.

They also exchanged views on China’s assistance for quake survivors, enhancement of bilat­eral cooperation in security and the rule of law, combatting trans­national crimes, including online gambling and telecom fraud, sta­bility in border areas and further bilateral cooperation.

After the meeting, they ex­changed gifts. — MNA/KTZH
