The Forest Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation organized a collective tree planting ceremony in Mese. A border town in Kayah State this morning.
The event was held beside Mese-Hose Road under the leadership of the local government. A group of local people consisting of departmental officials, policemen, firefighters, teachers and students led by Deputy Township Administrator U Aung Aye Khant grew 100 saplings including teak and hardwood during the ceremony.
The ceremony is aimed at making the environment clean, green and peaceful, said event organizers.—Wutyi (IPRD)
