A flag handover ceremony for the Ministry of Transport and Communications sports team, which will participate in the Fifth National Sports Festival, took place yesterday afternoon at the Ministry’s conference hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the event, the Union minister emphasized that “the sports development can enhance the physical and mental capabilities of the nation’s people and directly contribute to the development of human resources”. He urged athletes to prioritize their individual health and injury prevention. The victory flag was then handed over to the sports team.
The ministry will compete in several sports, including men’s football, men’s futsal, men’s and women’s volleyball, men’s Sepak Takraw, golf, and men’s and women’s athletics. A total of 103 athletes from the ministry will participate in the competition. — MNA/KZL
