THE Myanmar-China Friend­ship Association (Central) has donated funds for the com­prehensive renovation of re­ligious buildings in Mandalay and Sagaing, according to the organization.

 

As part of these donations, on 21 April, K100 million was donated for the comprehen­sive renovation of the Maha­muni Pagoda, K120 million to the Bramaso Humanitarian Aid Organization (BHAO), and K50 million to the Kokang Buddhist Temple in Manda­lay. Similarly, the association donated K38.4 million to the Sitagu Sayadaw, who is leading the comprehensive renovation of religious buildings, pagodas, and Sitagu missionary facili­ties in Sagaing.

 

In collaboration with Chinese rescue teams, the association travelled to are­as affected by the Mandalay earthquake to provide vital relief assistance and, on 19 March, jointly donated gold robes worth over K40 million to the Shwedagon Pagoda with its partner organizations. — ASH/TH
