THE Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) has donated funds for the comprehensive renovation of religious buildings in Mandalay and Sagaing, according to the organization.
As part of these donations, on 21 April, K100 million was donated for the comprehensive renovation of the Mahamuni Pagoda, K120 million to the Bramaso Humanitarian Aid Organization (BHAO), and K50 million to the Kokang Buddhist Temple in Mandalay. Similarly, the association donated K38.4 million to the Sitagu Sayadaw, who is leading the comprehensive renovation of religious buildings, pagodas, and Sitagu missionary facilities in Sagaing.
In collaboration with Chinese rescue teams, the association travelled to areas affected by the Mandalay earthquake to provide vital relief assistance and, on 19 March, jointly donated gold robes worth over K40 million to the Shwedagon Pagoda with its partner organizations. — ASH/TH
