Myanmar Ethnics Culture Fest Expo 2019 begins

The Myanmar Ethnics Culture Fest Expo 2019 organized by Myanmar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association (MEEA) was opened yesterday at the Kyaikkasan Sports Ground in Tamway Township, Yangon Region, yesterday.

 

The expo was formally opened by Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Nai Thet Lwin and officials.

 

Clothing, consumer products, medicines, vegetables, cosmetics and automobiles are exhibited in about 200 booths at the Expo. In the afternoon, the union minister accompanied by regions and states’ ethnic affairs ministers and officials from Myanmar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association (MEEA) went to the Insein General Hospital and encouraged the members of Kayin traditional culture troupe who are undergoing medical treatment in the inpatient ward for injuries they got in a car accident.

 

The injured Kayin traditional culture troupe members were provided with K 500,000 each by Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and Kayin ethnic affairs minister in Bago Region, and K 1 million each by Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association and Myanmar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association (MEEA). — Thi Thi Min /(Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
