UNION Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win inspected the healthcare services provided by the Nepali Tatmadaw emergency medical team at Yamethin Dis­trict General Hospital in Yame­thin District, Mandalay Region. During the inspection, the Union minister cordially comforted the out-patients and in-patients who were quake victims.

 

The Union minister then or­ganized a farewell event for the Nepali Tatmadaw emergency medical team that completed their duties yesterday.

 

Speaking at the event, the Union minister highlighted the long-lasting bilateral relations between Nepal and Myanmar and appreciated the efforts of the Nepali emergency medical team in emergency healthcare services of the ministry, which benefited over 1,000 patients at Yamethin District General Hospital, on behalf of the gov­ernment, public, ministry and quake victims.

 

He presented gifts to the Nepali Tatmadaw emergency medical team officials.

 

The Union minister also met the staff of the Public Health De­partment and Yamethin District General Hospital (100-bed). He appreciated the staff for their efforts and presented K1 million for the staff of the Yamethin Dis­trict Public Health Department and K1 million for the staff of the Yamethin District General Hospital (100-bed) in addition to relief kits. — MNA/KTZH
