New school facility handed over in Aunglan

A ceremony to hand over a new school building to Tayawgone No. 1 Basic Education Primary School in Aunglan, Thayet District, Magway Region was held at the school this morning.

The school building was funded under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security Projects (GGP) made by Japanese Government and people. At the ceremony, first secretary of GGP Mr. TadaShi NODA, regional minister for planning, finance and development U Zaw Min, social affairs minister Dr. Khin Maung Aye, MPs of Hluttaw, regional education officer U Aung Myint, deputy commissioner U Nay Lin, township administrator U Win Than, township education officer Daw Nyunt Nyunt Swe and teachers were in attendance.

The opening ceremony was held in front of the school and the officials formally opened the building. They sprinkled the scented water on the stone inscription and looked round the new building.

At the event, the first secretary clarified the purpose of the donations. The minister for planning, finance and development, head of the school, chairman of the school construction committee and students’ parents expressed thanks.
Afterwards, the first secretary handed over the related documents to school building to the regional education officer who also gave souvenir to the first secretary and guests.
