ACCORDING to tourism officials, there is a surge in tourists to Ayeyawady’s Ngwehsaung Beach, and people are already booking tickets in advance for February.

Due to some rumours, the sale of tickets for the Chaungtha tour has been suspended, but there are still people booking tickets for the Ngwehsaung trip in February.

“Currently, the number of tourists has decreased a little. On the Ngwehsaung side, everything is normal. People are still going. On the Chaungtha side, ticket sales have stopped for a while. But some people continue going to Ngwehsaung beach. Some people have booked for February. The Ngwehsaung route is convenient. Due to some rumours, the number of cars on the road decreased slightly,” said an official from Mini Tour Travel & Tour in South Okkalapa Township.
