A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorbike in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region on 19 January.
The traffic accident occurred between mileposts 257/5 and 257/6 on the Shwebo-Myitkyina Road near Tonelone Village in Indaw Township at about 3 p.m. yesterday. A motorbike collided with a 10 wheeled truck driven by a man identified as Kyaw Soe Win, 36 years of age from Monywa together with his colleague San Hlaing, 41 years old from Mabein Township, Shan State. The truck carrying 70 barrels of diesel overturned and the motorcyclist named San Hlaing died on the pot.
In connection with the case, action has been taken against the deceased motorcyclist over reckless driving by the local police station.—Win Naing (Kachin Myay)
