Pakistan reports 183 new cases

Pakistan reported 183 new cases, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Friday.

The new cases surfaced after the country conducted 28,544 tests during the last 24 hours, taking the overall number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 1,520,817, according to the NCOC, a department leading the country's campaign against the pandemic.

The pandemic killed seven people on Thursday, raising the country's overall tally to 30,326 deaths.

Pakistan's southern Sindh province is the worst-hit region with 572,868 infections recorded, followed by the eastern Punjab province, which has reported 504,219 cases so far.
