Pre-monsoon tree planting activities for 2025 were carried out this morning on the premises of the Antagonyi Thudhammathingi Nunnery School in Kywekyakaing Village, part of Kyaungtawya Village Tract, Paungde Township, Bago Region.
To begin the event, U Van Lang Enga, Staff Officer of the Township Forest Department, handed over saplings to U Soe Myint Hlaing, Chairman of the Township Administration Body.
A total of 131 participants—including eight Forest Department staff, personnel from various township-level departments, members of the Maternal and Child Welfare Association, the Women’s Affairs Federation, and local residents—joined hands to plant 300 trees, including 50 Kantkaw, 100 teak, 30 Khayay, 30 Seintacho, 30 Seinpan, 30 Padauk, and 30 Meze trees.— Shwe Thar
