THE Bagan Heritage Trust and the Bagan Archaeology and National Museum Department have been clearing the plants growing on seven pagodas of Bagan using chemical solutions, according to the BHT.
They conducted plant clearing on pagodas No 1245, No 1249, No 1250, No 1248, No 2005, No 2006, and No 2007, in collaboration with experts from the department.
The BHT and the department are working together regularly to remove and clear the trees growing on the pagoda platforms, including banyan trees. The BHT has also carried out tree removal and clearing of dead trees in recent years to ensure that pilgrims can enjoy the peace of the place.
