US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has indicated that further progress has been made towards a second bilateral summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Pompeo on Tuesday joined the annual World Economic Forum in Davos via a video link and spoke about the working-level talks in Sweden.
He said US special representative Stephen Biegun and a North Korean negotiator discussed some of the complicated issues that need to be resolved to achieve what was laid out at the first summit last June.

Pompeo said the officials made "a little bit more progress" although "there remains an awful lot of work to do." He added that good things have already happened.
Asked what Pyongyang would get if it gives up its nuclear program, he indicated that support from the private sector is needed to achieve economic growth that will ultimately bring about stability to North Korea.
The White House has announced that the second summit will take place in late February.
