Pyinnya Alinyaung Library launched in Minbu

With the aim of equipping rural people with reading skills, a ceremony to launch Pyinnya Alinyaung Library was held at Kyauksan village in Minbu Township, Magway Region this morning.

 

MP U Tin Aung Tun of Amyotha Hluttaw, general manager of Mann Oil Field U Ye Naing, head U Than Htay from Information and Public Relations Department formally opened the ceremony and looked round the library.

 

Afterwards, MP U Tin Aung Tun of Amyotha Hluttaw gave remarks and U Ye Naing from Mann Oil Field clarified the purpose of the library which was constructed under the CSR program.

 

An official from the IPRD explained the advantages of reading, ways to catalog different kinds of books in the library, continuing roundtable discussions to distribute reading habit. Secretary Mya Lwin Aung (Minbu) from the Township Writers Association gave talks on living a good life.

 

The new library which is 40-foot long and 20-foot wide was constructed at an estimated cost of K 7.8 million.
