Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Tun Tun Hein attended the 2019 China-Myanmar New Year Spring Festival held in Sky Net Studio hall in the Shwe Htut Tin Grounds in Tamway Township, yesterday evening in Yangon.

The event was also attended by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko and wife, H.E. Zhao Jin, Member of Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee of People’s Republic of China, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and wife, Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe, Hluttaw representatives, Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr. Hong Liang and wife, departmental officials and invited guests.

First People’s Republic of China Party Standing Committee member and Director of the Publicity Department of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee H.E. Zhao Jin delivered a speech.

Next Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko delivered a speech followed by speeches and remarks by Ministry of Information Myanmar Radio and Television Director General U Myint Htway, Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr. Hong Liang and Director of the Publicity Department of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee.

Afterwards Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Tun Tun Hein, Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko and wife, People’s Republic of China Party Standing Committee member and Director of the Publicity Department of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee H.E. Zhao Jin and officials observed the performance of China-Myanmar traditional songs and dances.

The 2019 China-Myanmar New Year Spring Festival is jointly organized by China State Council Publicity Office, Embassy of China to Myanmar, Yunnan Province government from the China side and the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture from the Myanmar side it is learnt. — MNA
