THE powerful earthquake left 3,514 people dead, 4,809 people injured and 210 people missing in six regions and states up to 6 April.

 

Members of the Fire Ser­vices Department and internal and external rescue teams are conducting search and rescue operations on time in rele­vant areas. So far, they have rescued 653 people alive and searched 686 dead bodies till today.

 

Well-wishers donate cash and materials to the affected people. On 6 April, two planes from two countries carrying 38.128 tonnes of relief supplies landed at Yangon International Airport.

 

Arrangements are being made to distribute the relief supplies donated by well-wish­ers to affected people as quick­ly as possible. — MNA/TTA
