Rural road opens to public to honour 72nd anniversary Union Day

A ceremony to inaugurate a rural concrete road was held in Peinhnegon model village in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State on Tuesday to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Union Day.

The new concrete road was opened by the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Saw Kyaw Win Maung, Amyotha Hluttaw MP U Khin Zaw Oo, regional lawmaker Daw Khin Myo Myint and the township municipality engineer U Nay Soe Kyaw by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. The local people are pleased with the opening of the concrete road that can contribute to development of the area.

The rural road was built with the use of cement bags provided by the local government and cash donated by local people.—IPRD
