STATE Administration Council Member and Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae inspected the relocation of quake-stricken staff and families to the newly constructed temporary shelters yesterday.
After the ceremonial procedures, the Union minister inspected the accommodation and instructed the staff to follow the regulations, stay in unity, utilize the water, electricity and sanitation system systematically and other cleanliness activities.
He also checked the compound of temporary shelters, electrification, waste systems and pathways.
The Union minister and his wife, accompanied by the deputy minister, attended the handover ceremony of Buddha images and cooking oil for the quake-impacted staff by the Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers Association held at Ayeyawady Hall of the ministry. — MNA/KTZH
